I have to make this quick, as I really should be studying, but... the Swets took us out for some fishing on Labor Day weekend near Dan's work. We caught a lot of sunfish and I caught this nice catfish. It was maybe around 7 pounds or so?

Awww no it can't be that big. It looks like about 3 lbs. little more or a little less I'd say. Good fish story though. The bigger you make it the more exciting it seems to be. Next time maybe say you got one something like 12 lbs. only make sure you hold it out to the camera a little more then you did this time so as to make it more believable.
Looking forward to your next tale!
OK, Mr. Anonymous, whoever you are:
The fish is bigger than it looks on the picture. Have a look at this one: here
- which was weighed at 5.3 lbs. Thinking about it again, I would have to admit that perchance it was a bit of an exaggeration - around five pounds would be reasonable. But definitely more than 3! (Unfortunately my weigh scale is in Canada.)
Who is this? Jonathan?
I hope you didn't eat it???
No... not out of a pond like that. But little catfish are actually really good eating.
Nice fish, Matt. I would say it is definitely in the 5.5-7 lb range, though I'm not always great at estimating. My guess is that Mr. Anon is somebody surfing the blogs using Blogger's "Random Blog" button. Look forward to more fish posts.
